Finally, a romantic riad true to its authenticity, was born in December 2007. Everything is here: ancient doors - zelliges - tadlakt - forged irons ... nothing is missing. This lovely Riad has been renovated and decorated with great taste and refinement by the owners Richard and Serge.
Thousand and One Nights, Indian Nights, Wish East Sultane and Bab Sahara are names referring to the feature and style of each suite. In the lobby, you can relax before a cozy fireplace relaxing to the music of your choice.
Unique in Marrakech, Riad Armelle's lovely terrace is decorated with it's lovely garden, where palm trees mingle, bougainvillea, hibiscus and other exotic plants wait for your admiration while sipping a cup of mint tea.
If you wish, our in-house chef will introduce you to his culinary secrets with subtle flavors of Morocco.
Ideally situated 150m from the walls, easy access to parking.
Riad Armelle's staff takes great pride caring for its guests where you can expect a warm and friendly welcome.
A must see and a must stay.
Just got back from a 4 night stay at the Riad Armelle. First time in Marrakech but we knew what to expect from the city itself, however the Raid surpassed our expectations. From the friendly helpful staff, Mohammed, Samill and the French owners to the traditional Moroccan cuisine. This Riad is extremely well presented, Clean and Comfortable.
If you can, go to the Atlas mountains. If you do ask Mohammed to introduce you to Ali the tour guide. His tour was the highlight of our trip. He will take you to a traditional Burba house where you will have Mint Tea with the Chief of the house, and see how they live.
Great holiday, Even better Riad.
Having had a terrible year in 2007, we wanted a relaxing holiday, winter sunshine, but some sights to see - we are not ones to sit round the pool for days on end.
Our local travel agent suggested we try Marrakesh and recommended some hotels. However, I found Riad Armelle on Lastminute.com and thought it fitted the bill. We hate large hotels and never book anywhere with kids' pools or clubs.
Riad Armelle was like a home from home. We felt completely at ease to come and go as we pleased and to use the riad's facilities as we wished. We spent our late afternoons/early evenings on the roof terrace relaxing after out earlier sightseeing.
The riad has been renovated with taste and style, but with a keen sensitivity to Moroccan tradition.
Our room (1001 and 1) was unlike any other we have seen or stayed in. (See the picture on the website). We were delighted to have a comfortable bed, (and pillows!) fresh bed linen and fluffy towels. Our room was kept spotlessly clean throughout our six night stay. Like other commentators, we were welcomed warmly by Armelle and Serge. We tried a few local restaurants, but Samir's lovingly prepared meals - one evening at very short notice - made it unnecessary to venture from the riad.
Our thanks also to Samir for making our breakfast at 5 am on the morning of departure.
We really could not fault Riad Armelle at all and would thoroughly recommend it to friends and family.
