This beautiful home is the work of Abderrahim Chara, winner of the International Prize for Architecture Aga Khan. The house combines tradition with the modern know-how of the local craftsmen: walls coated with tadellakt, terracotta bricks dress the pillars, front talaouh (mixture of soil, lime and straw), Moroccan zelliges on the floors and cedar joinery. Not ostentatious luxury, but a house full of soul and life with decoration made from items found around the world by the gallery owner and art enthusiast.
Casa Taos' neighborhood, Suihla, has been called "Little California" for the importance of its orange groves. It is in this rich environment that Casa Taos is located, in the heart of an area of 3 hectares, planted with lush vegetation. It is primarily an orchard of rare diversity (jujube tree, quince, dates, figs, olives, orange, lemon, pecan, plum, peach, apple, apricot ...), it is also a garden where we harvest the vegetables and herbs such as basilc, thyme, lavender ... to feed the guests of the house at our table. The excellent cuisine of the kitchen is made through bio-friendly products from the vegetable garden and orchard.
Also for sale at the Riad are bio-friendly products manufactured locally: jam, tapenade, olives, olive oil, orange blossom honey, pecans ...
